Ari Satria, seorang tokoh yang melambangkan dedikasi dan kecakapan dalam bidang perdagangan internasional, lahir di Bandung pada tanggal 27 Januari 1967. Dengan pangkat Pembina Utama Madya –IV/d, Ari telah mengabdikan dirinya selama 30 tahun di Kementerian Perdagangan, membawa pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang luas dalam berbagai posisi yang strategis.

Gelar Sarjana Ekonomi dari Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia pada tahun 1993 menandai awal perjalanan intelektualnya. Ia kemudian melanjutkan studinya dengan meraih gelar Master of Arts dalam International Economics dari Boston University pada tahun 2000. Pendidikan formal ini memberinya fondasi yang kuat dalam memahami dinamika ekonomi global.

Ari tidak hanya mengasah dirinya melalui pendidikan formal, tetapi juga melalui berbagai pelatihan teknis, termasuk Microeconomics of Competitiveness Firms, Clusters and Economic Development yang diselenggarakan bersama University of Indonesia & Harvard University pada tahun 2004.

Dalam karirnya yang cemerlang, Ari telah mengisi berbagai jabatan penting di Kementerian Perdagangan, termasuk sebagai Kepala Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) di Busan, Korea Selatan, dan Atase Perdagangan di KBRI Seoul, Korea Selatan. Selama hampir tiga tahun, ia juga mengabdi sebagai Sekretaris di Direktorat Jenderal Perundingan Perdagangan Internasional.

Pengalaman dan keahliannya tidak hanya terbatas pada dunia pemerintahan, tetapi juga meluas ke ranah akademis. Sebagai pengajar tidak tetap di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia, Ari telah berbagi pengetahuannya dalam Program Magister Manajemen dan Magister Perencanaan dan Kebijakan Publik.

Tidak hanya berperan sebagai pemimpin di Kementerian Perdagangan, Ari juga aktif dalam organisasi alumni dan komunitas lainnya. Ia menjabat sebagai Ketua Bidang Kemitraan di ALUMNAS (Perkumpulan Alumni Amerika Serikat), serta memiliki peran strategis di Keluarga Alumni Program Persahabatan Indonesia-Jepang Abad 21 (KAPPIJA-21) dan Forum Silaturahmi Alumni SMA Negeri 70 Bulungan Jakarta Angkatan 1985.

Sejak Januari 2024, Ari Satria telah menjabat sebagai Sekretaris Badan Kebijakan Perdagangan, mengemban tanggung jawab besar dalam merumuskan kebijakan perdagangan nasional. Dedikasinya yang tidak kenal lelah dan komitmennya terhadap kemajuan bangsa menjadikan Ari Satria sebagai salah satu pilar yang kokoh dalam bidang perdagangan internasional Indonesia.

Ari Satria, a figure emblematic of dedication and proficiency in the field of international trade, was born in Bandung on January 27, 1967. Holding the rank of Principal Expert IV/d, Ari has devoted himself for 30 years to the Ministry of Trade, bringing extensive experience and knowledge in various strategic positions.

His Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia in 1993 marked the beginning of his intellectual journey. He furthered his studies by obtaining a Master of Arts in International Economics from Boston University in 2000. This formal education provided him with a strong foundation in understanding the dynamics of the global economy.

Ari honed his skills not only through formal education but also through various technical training programs, including Microeconomics of Competitiveness Firms, Clusters and Economic Development conducted jointly by the University of Indonesia & Harvard University in 2004.

In his illustrious career, Ari has held several key positions in the Ministry of Trade, including serving as the Head of the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Busan, South Korea, and as a Trade Attaché at the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul, South Korea. For nearly three years, he also served as Secretary at the Directorate General of International Trade Negotiations.

His experience and expertise extend beyond the realm of government to academia. As a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia, Ari has shared his knowledge in the Master of Management and Master of Planning and Public Policy programs.

Not only a leader in the Ministry of Trade, Ari is also actively involved in alumni organizations and other communities. He serves as the Chairman of Partnership Affairs at ALUMNAS (Association of American Alumni), and holds strategic roles in the Alumni Family of the Indonesia-Japan 21st Century Friendship Program (KAPPIJA-21) and the Alumni Forum of Public High School 70 Bulungan Jakarta Class of 1985.

Since January 2024, Ari Satria has served as the Secretary of the Trade Policy Board, undertaking significant responsibilities in formulating national trade policies. His tireless dedication and commitment to the nation’s progress make Ari Satria one of the strong pillars in Indonesia’s international trade sector.
