The 21st Century Indonesia Japan Friendship Program Alumni Family (KAPPIJA 21) is a JICA Japan Alumni Program at the National level and AJAFA-21 organization at the ASEAN regional level. It is one of the youth organization partners assisted by the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports and coordinates with the Japan International Cooperation office Agency (JICA Indonesia Office), hopes that the 35th ECM activity can become a real contribution and participation from KAPPIJA 21 in carrying out Collaboration and Synergy with JICA Japan alumni organizations at the ASEAN regional level and representatives of Japan.
The 35th ECM event will be attended by representatives of the Japan JICA program alumni committee members of ASEAN countries with an estimated number of delegates of 60 participants.
The series of ECM events consisted of meeting activities with the main agenda being the evaluation of AJAFA-21 program activities for the one-year management period of AJAFA-21, including discussions and making strategic decisions regarding the future of AJAFA-21 the following year. Also quite strategic in this ECM event was the handover of the chairmanship of AJAFA-21 from the Cambodian alumni organization (JICA AC) to Indonesia (KAPPIJA-21).
The strategic position of the AJAFA-21 chairmanship is in line with Indonesia's chairmanship in ASEAN in 2023, so it is hoped that KAPPIJA 21's progress can strengthen Indonesia's leadership position at the ASEAN regional level, especially in fostering good relations with fellow alumni of the Japanese JICA program in the social sector, Culture, Education and Creative Economy.
The 35th ECM Executive Board Meeting is planned to take place from 16 to 19 March 2023 starting with a symbolic opening by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia at the Vice President's Palace, then a panel discussion session by inviting the Secretary to the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, the General Chair of KADIN Indonesia, Secretary General of ASEAN and CEO of Wardah Group as representatives of the business world. The program was interspersed with activities to see Indonesian displays and icons, including visiting the National Monument (MONAS), the National Library, a healthy walk along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin (Car Free Day).
